NIC/EIC Approved Contractor
Enrolment No: 27279

We are an NIC / EIC approved contractor. The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting is the industry’s independent, non profit-making, voluntary regulatory body covering the whole of the United Kingdom. The NICEIC’s sole purpose is to protect consumers from unsafe and unsound electrical work. They are not a trade association and do not represent the interests of electrical contractors.

Why use an Approved Contractor?
About 12,500 fires a year are reported as having an electrical source, which includes faulty or inadequate wiring. Cables, switches, socket-outlets and other equipment deteriorate with prolonged use, so they all need to be checked and necessary replacements or repairs made in good time.
It is imperative that electrical work is carried out only by those with the necessary knowledge, skill and experience of the type of electrical work to be undertaken to enable them to avoid the dangers to themselves and others that electricity can create. It’s easy to make an electrical circuit work – it’s far more demanding to make the circuit work safely. Safety for you in your home is paramount; therefore the NICEIC strongly recommends that you choose an Approved Contractor to carry out your electrical work.
As a further guarantee of good work, all NICEIC Approved Contractors must issue certificates for all work carried out in accordance with the national standard BS 7671.

We are Part P registered – but what does that mean?
From January 2005 electrical installation work in dwellings (houses and flats) will become subject to a new Building Regulation – ‘Part P’. This will be enforced by Local Authorities. Failure to comply would be a criminal offence.
The legal requirement is simply stated: ‘Fixed electrical installations in dwellings shall be suitably designed, installed, inspected and tested so as to provide reasonable protection against their being the source of a fire or a cause of injury to persons.’
We have a full membership with the NIC/EIC and offer insurance backed installations. All of our domestic electrical work is notified to building control where applicable.
